Defence before Criminal Courts for concealed work

Parallel Avocats successfully defended Clic and Walk before the Lille Criminal Court in response to allegations of concealed work.

During a preliminary investigation for concealed work, Clic and Walk asked Parallel Avocats to provide expertise on innovative digital models and new forms of work. Indeed, the investigators were criticizing Clic and Walk for not having signed employment contracts with each member of its community carrying out short term missions.

The collaboration between Clic and Walk, Parallel's lawyers and the defence team made it possible to build a strong argument emphasizing the operational functioning of the company, the specificities of the economic model and the unprecedented legal challenges that any digital entrepreneur faces.

The Court refused to acknowledge the existence of concealed work and relieved Clic and Walk and its CEO from criminal charges. The prosecution appealed and the proceedings are currently pending before the Douai Court of Appeal.
